Jamie Brewer
Jamie Brewer (born February 5, 1985 in California) is an American actress who is best known for her roles in the series American Horror Story. She is one of the first actresses with Down syndrome to gain international recognition in film and television.
Her education includes acting training at Mt. San Jacinto College in Riverside County, California. She has been actively involved in The Arc of the United States, an organization that advocates for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Jamie Brewer rose to fame through her roles in American Horror Story, where she played different characters in several seasons.
She also played Shelly in Cherry (2021), Rose in Station 19 (2020), and Amanda in Southland (2013).
Jamie Brewer was the first woman with Down syndrome to walk the runway at New York Fashion Week. She is considered an inspiration for inclusion and diversity in the entertainment industry. Jamie Brewer has not only made a name for herself as an actress, but also as an activist and role model for people with disabilities. Her roles show that diversity in film and television is possible and enriching.
