Nikos Tsachiridis
Nikos Tsachiridis (September 9, 1933 – August 3, 2015) was a Greek actor. He was described as the "tough guy" of Greek cinema. A child of Pontic uprootedness and fatherless, he emerged from a very young age in the harsh struggle of life. He played in many films of both black-and-white and color Greek cinema. His first appearance was in the film Magic City (1954) by Nikos Koundouros, where the director gave him a small role. His roles in most films were secondary, usually those of the "tough guy". Nikos Tsachiridis always played his role convincingly, which is why he prevailed as one of the "tough guys" of Greek cinema. He was a footballer and a member of the Panhellenic Association of Paid Footballers (PSAP), while in addition to being an excellent actor he was also one of the best stuntmen in cinema. He lived in his detached house in Melissia. In recent years he suffered from Alzheimer's disease. He was buried in the Melissia Cemetery.
