Duygu Sağıroğlu
Duygu Sağıroğlu (November 10, 1932, Trabzon - April 29, 2023, Istanbul) was a Turkish screenwriter , film director , theater set designer, art director and lecturer.
He started making sets at Küçük Sahne during his high school education. His nickname in high school was Deli Mıgır. After Galatasaray High School , he studied at Istanbul Technical University Faculty of Architecture. In 1956, he started working as a set designer and graphic designer at Küçük Sahne . He designed sets in theater for a long time. He was among the founders of the Theater Association and Cep Theater . He worked on designing theater sets in America, where he went with a Rockefeller scholarship. When he returned to Turkey, he designed opera sets. He started working in the field of cinema as an assistant in the film " Karacaoğlanın Kara Sevdası " directed by Atıf Yılmaz in 1959. During this period, he worked as a set designer, art director and assistant director in many films.
