Heidrun Bartholomäus
Heidrun "Heide" Bartholomäus (born July 12, 1957, in Schwerin; née Timm) is a German actress, voice-over artist, dialogue writer, and dialogue director.
Heide Bartholomäus trained at the "Ernst Busch" Academy of Dramatic Arts in East Berlin from 1977 to 1980, after which she joined the theater company in Weimar. It was there that she was discovered for voice-over work and participated in her first dubbing project, the film *Pferdelady*.
Following German reunification, Bartholomäus appeared in numerous film productions, including *(T)Raumschiff Surprise – Periode 1*, *Vaterland*, and *Nichts bereuen*. In 2006, she received an acting award at the Copenhagen International Film Festival for her role in the film *Komm näher*.
As a voice-over artist, she gained recognition for roles such as Ginger in *Chicken Run* and Treeflower in *The Angry Beavers*. Her voice work for Jodie Foster in the film *Nell* garnered particular attention, as she successfully adapted the fictional language spoken by the character. She is also one of the regular German voices for Emily Watson and has regularly dubbed Frances McDormand since the late 1990s.
Furthermore, Bartholomäus works as a voice actress for audio dramas, notably in the series *Elea Eluanda*. She has also collaborated with pianist Hannes Zerbe on several "Jazz and Poetry" programs.
