Zacharias Mavroeidis

He studied architecture in Thessaloniki, theater in RESAD in Madrid and cinema in ATHINA and EICTV in Cuba. He participated in Berlinale Talent Campus and Sarajevo Talent Campus. Since 2015 he has been teaching screenwriting in schools in Athens.

In 2014, his first novel titled SEVEN SOULS IN THE MOUTH was published, which is in the development stage as a full-length animation film.

His first feature-length comedy THE TRAVELER (2011) participated in over 20 international film festivals. The documentary IN HER BODY (2018) premiered at the International Documentary Festival of Thessaloniki and received a mention at the Burgas International Film Festival. APOSTRATOS' second feature fiction (2019) premiered at the International Competition of the 60th Thessaloniki Film Festival where it won the Audience Award and the Youth Award of the AUTH student committee. The film won the Best Film Award at the 2020 KINENOVA International Festival and the Best Screenplay Award at IRIS 2020.
