He has written and directed a number of award-winning independent films, such as Dracula, The Literal Moron (2022) and Put a Stick in It (2020), one of the inaugural winners of the Vanishing Angle Post Grant. His films have screened at Animation Block Party, Boston Underground, Malt Adult, Channel 101, the Oscar-qualifying Athens International Festival of Film & Video, and has been highlighted on Newgrounds, Film Shortage and The Arts Fuse. He’s also worked for clients like MIT, The LEGO Group, The American Bystander and for Nickelodeon on SpongeBob SquarePants. Austin currently resides outside of Boston, working as a designer and educator when he isn't making stupid-ass cartoons.
