Luke McQueen
Luke McQueen is an award-winning stand-up comedian, writer and actor, who you will have seen on 'The Moth Club' (Dave) 'Comedians Giving Lectures' (Dave) 'The Stand-up Sketch show' (ITV) and 'Roast Battle'. (Comedy Central) He is a critically acclaimed maverick of the Edinburgh fringe, having performed 5 solo shows to sell out crowds and rave reviews. Luke has had a number of commissions over the years including 'The Person Behind the Celebrity' (C4) a chat show where you ignore the celebrity guest and instead speak to someone lesser known from their life sat behind them, 'The Chosen One' (Sky1) a short about a man that believes God is trying to communicate with him and a 3 part BBC series, 'The Luke McQueen Pilots' which was nominated for a National Television Award and described as a 'delirious' best TV pick in The Guardian.
Along with regular collaborator Lou Sanders, Luke also co-created 'Why Is Your Bottom So dirty', an improvised comedy podcast featuring different guests including Brett Goldstein, Lolly Adefope and James Acaster. Luke has written and starred in a number of short films over the years, with his performance in 'Last Dates' receiving an honourable mention at the LOCO film festival and his film 'Trevor' receiving a special commendation the following year. More recently Luke was cast for a small role in Nicolas Cage movie 'The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent' and he's just wrapped filming a starring role in 'Hostages', a debut feature from director Jim Owen.
Luke made his name with anarchic YouTube series' #GetSarahBack and #FindMyAudience in which he performed audacious publicity stunts, including tricking an entire audience into watching him perform, by telling them it was going to be Frankie Boyle. He's been a regular writer on 'Unforgiveable' (Dave) for 3 series.
