Jasmine Ashanti
Hailing from Maryland, Jasmine Ashanti earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre from Temple University and went on to receive a Master of Fine Arts in Acting from UC-San Diego. Jasmine's career began with a string of impressive performances in a wide range of theater productions. Some of her credits include memorable turns in "Ready Steady Yeti Go", as well as "Dontrell, Who Kissed the Sea". Jasmine also appeared in "The Last Tiger in Haiti" in a co-production with Berkeley Repertory and La Jolla Playhouse, where Jasmine was praised by THEATRIUS for her ability to captivate audiences with her grace under oppression, and for creating a sublime representation of ritualistic folklore. In 2023, Jasmine returned to the stage for Zora Howard's Pulitzer Prize nominated production of STEW, acting alongside LisaGay Hamilton and Rosyln Ruff at the Tony Award Winning Pasadena Playhouse.
Jasmine's talents extend beyond the stage, as she is also the voice of Andrea on the animated series "Lego Friends: Girls on A Mission", voicing 28 episodes of the beloved children's show. In 2020, Jasmine was part of the ABC Discovers Talent Comedy Showcase, which proved to be the start of a successful on-screen career. Jasmine has since made notable appearances on popular shows including the ABC series "The Good Doctor", "Black-Ish", and "Grey's Anatomy", as well as the Netflix series "On My Block", "Lucifer", Hulu's "Wu-Tang: An American Saga," and CBS's "East New York." With her impressive range and dedication to her craft, Jasmine continues to make a name for herself as a rising star in the entertainment industry.
