Juan Alberto Soler
Juan Alberto Soler (Barcelona, September 28, 1919 – December 22, 1993) was a Catalan film art director.
From a young age, he stood out for his aptitude for languages and drawing. His first job as a graphic designer was the commercial catalog for the company Arca Invulnerables. But this type of work didn't appeal to him as much as the design of architecture and set designs, which he had already explored during his school years. Therefore, it's no surprise that he soon entered the film industry, first as an assistant and later as head set decorator or art director. Throughout his long career, he designed the sets for more than 300 films and became one of the essential figures in Catalan cinema. He collaborated with the largest local production companies and brought undeniable excellence to all the films that came out of the studios in Barcelona and Esplugues.
