Arnold Seymour Relman was an American internist and professor of medicine and social medicine. During his career he taught at Boston University School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine (now the Perelman School of Medicine), and Harvard Medical School. He was a critic of for-profit healthcare and is credited with coining the term "medical-industrial complex."
